I have no new neighbor stories to post but I am photographing today and look forward to sharing them with you next week.
When I volunteered at the Food Bank yesterday, it was a wonderful surprise to find one of Wheeler's friends, Langdon Ogburn, home from West Point, in the waiting area. My first trip to the Food Bank was in 2017 on a Raleigh Charter High School flex day (field trip). and not only was Langdon there, but Governor Cooper was visiting and I have a few phone pictures to share from then and now.
Sadly, food insecurity is not new, it has just exploded with the stay at home order.
Yesterday, our group of 15 divided into pairs, sorted 3540 pounds of apples and distributed them into 5 pound bags. Thanks again for your enthusiasm and support. Keep it coming! Every $10 provides 50 meals.
Have a great weekend!
