Happy Friday Stonebridge! Governor Cooper has extended the stay at home order until May 8th, so I'll keep posting stories as long as there are families signing up.
Thank you for your enthusiasm in participating and donating to the food bank. Together we are making a difference by staying at home and sharing our resources. I volunteered there yesterday and our group of 15 in 3 person teams redistributed 6255 lbs of rice into 8 pound bags. The Food Bank is doing what they can to have safe practices during this time. All of the volunteers wash hands entering and exiting the facility and wear gloves and masks. To repackage rice, we also wear hairnets and aprons.
Please reach out if you want to be a part of this project- I check the weather forecast on Saturday to pick the best weather day for the following and schedule from there.
Meet the Medleys
Jeff, Chaely and Ellis have been living on Peridot Lane for about a month and have two beautiful german shepherds. Due to the size of their back porch, we were able to get some back porch photos in addition to the yard. Ellis has a special bond with the dogs which is easy to see in the photographs.
Meet the Debenders
Mike, Susan, Emily and Alex have been living on Swindon Court for 15 years. Although they love sleeping in and not eating a packed lunch everyday, they are ready for the stay at home order to be lifted.
Meet the McConnells
Jason, Rachel, Andrew, Eliana, and Rachel's grandmother Marianne have been living on Brookfield for about four years. Sadly, Marianne is battling cancer and could not join us for the session. If you travel on Brookfield often, you've probably seen them working in, on and around their house. Jason can fix almost anything, I hear, including a dune buggy, which ready for a new home!
