I’ve been riding le Tour de Femme since 2009 and to me it is so much more than a one day ride. It is a community of heart, compassion and hope. Seeing many of the same people every year, coming to volunteer, sponsor and ride, I wondered why the tour is so special to them. In these series of interviews, I have the distinct pleasure of introducing you to some of them.
Paige Williams- Great Harvest Bread Company
In 2007, Paige Williams and her husband Tom opened the Harvest Bread Company in Cary (right across the street from Volvo and Cycling Spoken Here) and they have been an ardent supporter every year. " Tom and I got into this business, not about bread but it was about creating fellowship and unity in the community." Anytime they have the opportunity to help others, they do.
I really connected with the le Tour de Femme because I am an athlete and I love women's races.
"Something radiates about women working together collectively to something special for the community." Paige Williams is one of those women, a source of warmth and generosity, who through her business makes a difference. Great Harvest Bread Company sponsors a variety of local events including le Tour de Femme.
"Let's bread together and ride" ...So remember to stop by Great Harvest Bread Company on your way home to pick up some bread and say thanks to one of our ardent sponsors.
